Another DAF family member is Can Logic DAF NOX emulator. This option allows you to replace faulty nox emulator by replacing it with nox emulator, but leaing SCR system as is. This means your adblue system will be working as before, without any changes, but your nox sensors will be disconnected and emulated by our emulator. Installing nox emulator is relatively easy. You must remove nox sensor from the vehicle, open the metal box where electronic board is stored and replace it with our emulator. The trickiest part is to open the box, as it is sealed in. We recommend using a heath gun to soften the sealant after which the lid will come up easily. It is also of utmost importance to make sure the box is re-sealed properly after replacing the boards and no water can get in to it.
The great thing about our DAF nox emulator is that you only need to fit one to emulate both nox sensors. So even if both nox sensors are faulty, you still need only one emulator installed to fix both issues.
Lastly, lets talk about DAF EURO 6 SCR and NOX disconnection options and available solutions. DAF introduced certain upgrades to its software last year, which upgraded SCR system and made it very difficult to disconnect with the help of the emulator. In short, this DAF software update left all emulators that have, up until then, worked perfectly incapable of disconnecting and emulating SCR system. So if your vehicle had not been connected to diagnostics in the last couple of years, there still might be an emulator out there, which will work on it. However, if this last update has already been applied to your vehicle, no emulator in the world will do the job. For now at least..:) The only solid solutions available for DAF EURO 6 vehicles is to remove adblue by modifying ECU file. File should be downloaded with tools such as KESS or K-TAG, modified and uploaded back. No equipment needs to be installed to the vehicle at all.
